Arm Chair Travel #35

With Christmas just over a week away I thought we would reflect on last weeks #TheWeeklyPostcard blog posts that were all about Christmas.

But before we get started on that let me explain what the #TheWeeklyPostcard is all about.

#TheWeeklyPostcard is a place where travel bloggers can share all their travel posts.  You will find travel blog posts offering travel tips, packing lists, accommodation reviews, yummy places to eat and destination inspiration.

As Toddlers on Tour is now a co-host of #TheWeeklyPostcard (learn more about that HERE) I thought the Arm Chair Travel series would be a great way for me to introduce you to some enjoyable travel posts I found during the previous weeks link up.  The Arm Chair Travel series is where I share with you, my favourite travel blog posts I have recently read.

If you would like notifications to join #TheWeeklyPostcard link up or just learn when the next one is out to read all the travel posts, please complete the form below.  PLEASE NOTE: this form is just for #TheWeeklyPostcard.  If you would like to join the mailing list for my monthly e-newsletter visit HERE.  In the meantime:

Grab a cuppa, wine or eggnog 😉 , sit back in your arm-chair, and join me as I show you what I discovered in the world of travel on #TheWeeklyPostcard.

At this time of the year, Christmas is everywhere.  Homes are decorated with colourful twinkling lights.  Outside more ornate lighting displays are hanging from the lamp poles.  In shopping centres, large garlands are strung from the ceilings, while Santa greets the excited line of children.  And in the city centres tall decorated Chrismas trees abound.

One Christmas tree seems more iconic than others, as it has been a setting in many a Christmas movie.  It is the one in front of Rockafella Centre in New York City.  It is obviously quite something special to see as two travel bloggers listed it at as part of their Christmas celebrations.

At Lifestyle Crossroads shared some of this New York magic v’s the commercialisation of Christmas.
