With a week to go before our annual family holiday, I am doing a final checklist to make sure everything is ready to go.

order child’s meal

ensure you have all special clothing required, be it for a wedding, conference, skiing, hiking or swimming

hold your mail
cancel your paper
advise your neighbours
if you have a house sitter write do’s and don’ts list including rubbish collection and watering days
if you have someone looking after your animals create a do’s and don’ts list and provide enough food for the duration of holiday

Sally, thanks for sharing a great packing list! The only thing I would add is to clear out all of the perishables from the fridge and cupboard…

Thanks Anne of course that should be on the list. I seem to naturally start creating meals to ensure as much of those perishables are used, then we always come home to a carton of off milk. YUK 🙁
