Photo Flashbacks: Seeing Sentosa Island for Free 29

A few years ago we went for a short holiday to Singapore with a toddler and stayed on Sentosa Island at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort.

Sentosa Island is only a short drive across the bridge, or a monorail ride or a cable car ride from Singapore.

During our time in Singapore we spent a day exploring Sentosa Island and it didn’t cost us a cent.

To get around the island we either walked with a child or caught the free buses and trams on the island.

With a packed day bag we started with a tram ride along the beach front.

Then it was up to resort world.

We spent a lovely time just meandering through the board-walk and stores.

Then we walked up through Festive Walk admiring the gardens and fountains.

Notice the ramps by the stairs – it was easy to get about with our pram.

We discover the famous Merlion.

Before heading back to our hotel we find some old cars and carts that Lewis loved climbing in.
