A New Look 15

It’s a new year and I’ve decided it’s time for a new look.

Not a new hair cut and some new clothes – though that would be nice.

But a new website design for Toddlers on Tour.

Getting to the new website design

I originally created the idea for Toddlers on Tour back when my son was first born in 2008 and finally launched the site in 2010.  So I’ve had this website look for 3 years.

During the 3 years I have taught myself the importance of social media – back then I didn’t even have a Facebook account let alone want one.  Today I have Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest accounts.

I’ve realised that I had to write a Blog as well; not just put pages of family travel tips out on the web and expect you to just find them amongst the plethora of information that is out there.

Learnt how to format photos; which is becoming more important with Pinterest, Twitter and shortly I will join the masses on Instagram.

Plus I’ve discovered the need to comment on other people’s Blogs and Forums and build relationships with these people who live thousands of miles away.

Also during the 3 years, Blogging platforms have altered tremendously and what was cutting edge then – is now old school.  Which has resulted in me feel the constraints of my old Blog theme.

So with much trepidation I have finally settled on a new Blog theme, learnt a bit of CSS, altered photos and this is my new website design.

What do you think?

Please be honest, so that I can improve the website as much as possible for you to enjoy returning to again and again.
