4 Types of Family Friendly Festivals with Kids to Explore in the USA

Further afield there are some fantastic looking family friendly festivals I found reading My Family Travels Fabulous Fall Getaway Guide.  During the cooler Fall/Autumn season, it could be worth considering a Fall family holiday around the USA.  There are a whole heap of different types of family festivals:

Balloon Festivals

Start with a balloon festival.  What kid doesn’t love balloons?  There are at least 3 balloon festivals too choose from.

Halloween Festivals

Another favourite thing that kids love is Halloween.  Check out some fabulous haunted houses, horror nights or scream and fright fests.

Fruit Picking Festivals

A bit too scary?  Why not get the kids to discover where fruit and vegetables really come from (not the supermarket shelves) take them fruit picking.

Food Festivals

Love the idea of discovering new food then there are so many food and drink festivals.  I love this new food truck trend.

Music Festivals

Want to wash all that good tucker down listening to some live music?

The Caribbean and Mexico have some major music festivals happening – why not add in a sun-drenched holiday.  Or take short family holiday in the Fall and camp in Columbia, Missouri to visit the Roots n Blues BBQ Festival.

I am more than prepared for fall. I am planning to see the fall colors on the Eastern Sierra. Plus, I am thinking about picking apples. I have never done that but sounds like fun.

I try and drag my family to as many fall festivals and activities as possible. I’m pretty sure by the time fall is over, they’re so ready to be done with family fun. But I can’t get enough. And there are so many in the Chicago area that we stay pretty busy in the fall months. #TheWeeklyPostcard

These seem to be middle-age kids, Sall-Ann. I think I could qualify for that group. I love Halloween andI’m always ready for it. Sometimes I’ll have a party inside my house during Halloween, but most of the time I don’t and I just have fun with the kids who come to my door for candies. They are so sweet and innocent, so in awe of a fistful of candies the tit almost make me cry.
