When your flying with kids the trick is always trying to keep them entertained and prevent them from annoying fellow passengers. If you have to transit during your journey then you have another issue – how to keep them entertained while waiting for your next flight.
Through Pinterest I’ve been discovering there are some great family friendly airports out there.
1. Changi Airport in Singapore
This airport offers a variety of activities to keep the kids amused. There is a butterfly garden with over 1000 butterfly species to discover. Childrens playgrounds in terminals 1, 2, and 3. An entertainment deck for the big kids and big kids at heart. A Koi pond, fern garden and orchid garden.
After all that you will be exhausted and want to sit down and relax in the Family Zone, the kids can run off the last of their energy before boarding your next flight.
2. Hong Kong International Airport
The Dream Park Education Centre is designed for children to learn about real life experience through role play.
3. San Franscico International Airport
This airport is so well set up to keep your kids amused there is the Kids Spot which has play equipment and implements for children to learn about weather. They also have an aquarium which features live animals form the rainforest of the Americas and Phillipean coral reef.
4. Kuala Lumpor International Aiport – KLIA
I must admit we’ve transited through KLIA a couple of times and I never knew this playground was here. It’s tucked away on Level 5. You could also take the kids up to the viewing platform and watch the aircraft and the aerotrain.
5. Dallas Fort Worth
There are 2 of these play areas in the airport featuring soft form playscapes with a seating area for you to sit back and watch.
A Final Note
There are many airports out there that offer great family facilities. Do your research when planning your next holiday. It could make all the difference with keeping your little ones happy.
